Material and properties
The SkyShade consists of a strong 100% polyester mesh fabric with a PVC coating. Its open structure allows light and air to pass through partially, while significantly reducing solar heat. The white colour also provides highly reflective properties.

How do you measure the correct size?
Ordering a suitable SkyShade is easy. You only need to measure the structural opening size of your skylight. The necessary margin is automatically taken into account during production, so that the fabric fully covers and seals your dome.
The SkyShade is ideal for domed plastic skylights. For pyramid skylights, application is possible on request.
Installation with clips
The SkyShade is designed for easy installation on plastic skylights. For larger sizes, the fabric is additionally secured for stable fastening.
- Is one side of the SkyShade longer than 1.40 m? Then 2 clips per side are required.
- Cut-outs are provided in the hem of the fabric for this purpose.
- Example: for a size of 100 x 200 cm, 2 clips are required.
- Example: for a size of 150 x 150 cm, 4 clips are required.
- For opening domes, additional clips are provided for correct and safe fastening.
Availability and custom-made options
SkyShade is available in a range of standard sizes, based on the most common skylight sizes. The range is being further expanded according to market demand.
Do you need a non-standard size? Then custom-made is possible. The average delivery time for custom-made products is approximately 4 weeks. The surcharge for custom-made products is usually around 30% to 40% compared to a similar standard size.
